Photo of Grace S. Barber-JordanGrace Barber-Jordan was elected to the Leander ISD Board of Trustees in 2001. This is her fifth term on the Board. She previously served as Secretary of the Board from 2015-2017.

Barber-Jordan completed a master's degree in counseling at St. Edward's University. She has a bachelor's degree in English from Texas A&M University and master's in higher education from Dallas Baptist University.

Her experience includes serving as a career counselor graduate assistant for Texas State University and academic adviser for Austin Community College, working for the Board of Regents of the Texas A&M University System, and purchasing and auditing for the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station, the Deputy Chancellor of Agriculture for the Texas A&M University System and Texas A&M University at Galveston. As an Instructor for the Literacy Council of Williamson County, Barber-Jordan has taught English as a Second Language, GED and Adult Basic Literacy. She's also a licensed professional counselor and is an adjunct professor of Student Development and a counselor at Austin Community College.

Master Trustee - Conferred 2003 - Texas Association of School Boards Member - School Board Advocacy Network Member - TASB Grassroots Advocacy Committee Past President & Vice President - Friends of the Cedar Park Public Library.
